2025

The fifth year of Autaia promises exciting developments, continuing Hawaiki TŪ’s legacy of advancing Māori performing arts on both national and global stages.

2024

Autaia had a sold-out performance across 10 schools, including kura from Te Tai Tokerau, with guest performances from Ngāti Whatua and Te Wānanga Takiura.

2023

Taurite expanded with a Tai Tokerau tour.

2021

Taurite was refined and presented at the Great Town Hall before making its premiere at Q Theatre. Additionally, Autaia launched its first year.

2020

Taurite was developed with support from Auckland Live and featured in the Auckland Fringe Festival.

2017

Te Manawa premiered at the ASB Waterfront Theatre.

2015

The Hawaiki TŪ Academy was established, marking the completion of three years of growth.

2014

Te Toki was presented at the Tempo Dance Festival.

2013

The development of Te Manawa marked a major step forward in Haka Theatre.

2012

Tangaroa Whakamautai debuted at the Tempo Dance Festival.

2010

Hawaiki TŪ was founded with the first creation of An Old Friend in a New Time.
